About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Trade Marketing, the Trade Marketing Associate Manager, North America Retail will assist in ideating, planning, and executing comprehensive trade marketing plans for the North America accounts. This includes supporting the development and execution of an ongoing retail eventing program, including, but not limited to, Education and Sales Visits, ULTA Blitz and Sephora Beauty Studio events, Sephora FSC and Hub events.
The ideal candidate will be able to research and provide regular analytics around activations and inputs on account strategy and go-to-market plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Help develop and execute the overall brand strategy within the Specialty Retail channel
- In partnership with the Senior Trade Marketing Manager, develop and execute go-to-market plans for North America specialty accounts, including new product launches, advertising creative, media planning, in-store execution, point of sale, sampling, promotions, etc.
- Drive adaptation of global marketing campaigns to specific customer needs, ensuring 360 campaign development and execution (in-store, digital, social, events, promotions), supporting both core SKUs and launches where relevant and strategic
- For Specialty Retailer accounts, lead the planning and submission of JBP & planning documents
- Lead the planning, briefing, and execution of in-store visual merchandising, print needs, digital assets, etc for Specialty Retailer accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Creative Operations, to ensure on-time delivery of assets, copy, comps, artwork, visuals, etc.
- For respective area of responsibility, own the budget management & updates; optimize as needed to support the business
- Manage sampling process including forecasting, coordination with supply chain, tracking and program measurement
- Own the Sales, Marketing, Education & Digital (SMED) calendar to ensure it's the central point of truth for all Specialty channel activities & programs
Develop an ongoing retail eventing program to drive animation and conversion
- In partnership with the Senior Trade Marketing Manager, develop and execute ongoing eventing program (all levels of animation), laddering up to the larger brand strategy and North America Retail fiscal year calendar
- Collaborate with Account Leads, Education, and Field Team leaders to develop basic, elevated, and out-of-the-box eventing programs to drive animation, sales results, and conversion at the point of sale
- Develop reporting and feedback process to capture ROI and actionable learnings, pivoting go-forward strategy based upon learnings
Strategy & Insights
- Evaluate the ROI of marketing campaigns and adjust plans as necessary. Regular reporting & analysis on effectiveness functionality of strategies & programs, including KPIs; ability to pivot based upon learnings
- Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing team to provide feedback and analysis on innovation, campaigns, and key initiatives (pre-, post-, and during)
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and new technologies affecting the prestige haircare industry
Be the internal champion for the product
- Assist Senior Trade Marketing Manager, Education, and Sales teams in the development and delivery of presentations, materials, and collateral to ensure success with retailer audiences
- Collaborate with Sales team to track and analyze in-market implementation
- Participant in strategic customer meetings, including Monthly Business Updates & Joint-Business Planning
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure omni-channel synergies
- Regularly communicate with Sales, Field, and Education teams to share Account specific support plans and changes
About You:
- Bachelor's Degree with a focus on marketing, communications, or a related field with specific experience in Beauty and/or Professional salon channels
- 3-5+ years of experience in marketing roles, demonstrating a track record of success
- Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle urgent matters efficiently across multiple time zones
- Strong relationship-building abilities, with a focus on developing and maintaining positive internal and external partnerships
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of productivity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent communication and organization skills, ability to juggle multiple projects under pressure; focus on achieving deliverables and deadlines on time and in full
- Attitude of collaboration and proactiveness with a can-do, go-getter attitude and attention to detail is critical
- Must have a passion for the beauty industry
Our Total Rewards:
The annual base pay for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 with eligibility for an annual bonus. The actual base pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, years of relevant experience, skill level, functional expertise, certificates or other professional licenses held and geographic location.
