Job Title: Part-Time Social Media Coordinator (NYC-based)
Reports To: Marketing & Social Media Manager / SVP Brand & Creative
Job Overview:
The Madison Melle Agency is seeking a creative and highly organized Part-Time (10-20 hours per week) Social Media Coordinator to support day-to-day content planning, publishing, and community engagement across client and internal social platforms. This role is ideal for someone who closely follows social trends, understands brand tone and storytelling, and can juggle multiple accounts with precision. This role is part-time in our New York City office.
This person will play a hands-on role in content scheduling, asset coordination, copywriting, and analytics — working closely with the marketing, design, and digital teams to elevate client presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and schedule weekly/monthly social media calendars across multiple accounts
· Draft engaging, on-brand copy and captions tailored to platform and audience
· Coordinate with design team to ensure timely delivery of visual assets
· Assist with basic content creation, including Reels/TikToks, story layouts, and behind-the-scenes content
· Monitor platform trends, memes, sounds, and cultural moments to suggest real-time opportunities
· Engage with community comments, messages, and tagged content
· Track and report performance metrics and social insights weekly
· Support influencer coordination and user-generated content sourcing
· Assist with client research and competitor benchmarking
· Ensure brand consistency and voice across all social touchpoints
Qualifications & Character Traits:
· 1–3 years of experience in social media, content marketing, or a related role
· Strong understanding of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Threads)
· Strong writing and storytelling skills with attention to tone and detail
· Proficiency in tools such as Later, Planoly, Sprout Social, or similar schedulers
· Comfortable editing short-form video (Reels/TikToks) on mobile apps
· Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Suite a plus
· Enthusiastic, trend-aware, and proactive in bringing creative ideas to the table
· Based in NYC and available to attend occasional in-person meetings or activations
· Highly organized, self-starting, and solutions-oriented
· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
