Events and Social Media Coordinator (entry level)
Location: On-Site in Saddle Brook, NJ (Monday to Friday) with occasional travel to activations ranging from 1-10 days
Join the Mike's Amazing Team!
We're looking for an energetic Events and Social Media Coordinator to help spice up our brand presence at some of the coolest activations around—from sun-soaked music festivals to thrilling sports events (we sponsor the Bruins, Capitals, Devils, Flyers, Heat, Lightning, Mets, Orioles, Panthers, Phillies, Rangers, Red Sox and Yankees!), and don’t forget flavorful culinary events— like spending 10 days in Miami at the South Beach Wine and Food Festival where we sponsor Rachel Ray’s ‘Mike’s Amazing Burger Bash”.
What You'll Do:
Master of Details: As the main owner of the event calendar, you will coordinate all deliverables, action items, timelines, travel schedules, personnel lists, and logistics. Working closely with the Vice President and Marketing Manager, you'll ensure everything is meticulously planned and executed. Organization, multi-tasking and attention to detail are critical to the success of this role, as activation planning and coordinating take priority over social media.
Event Enthusiast: Embrace the heart of the action at various events, ensuring our brand shines. Whether it's setting up the perfect shot, mingling with festival attendees, or serving up tasty samples, you'll help make our presence unforgettable. This includes occasional overnight extended travel to activations. You will also assist the team with loading in, assembling and loading out the activations, as well as working the activations as a Brand Ambassador. You must be able to lift over 50lbs. Travel days will require extended working hours. Mike’s Amazing will take care of all travel costs and provide a per diem— trust us, you will have a blast with the team!
Create Buzz: You'll be the maestro of our digital content, taking direction from our Marketing Manager, to orchestrate engaging posts and stories. Whether it’s filming behind-the-scenes clips with our charismatic Executive Chef, capturing the roar at sports events, showcasing the excitement at the 'Mike's Amazing Burger Bash' hosted by Rachel Ray, or touring up and down the East Coast in our vintage Airstream food truck, your content will stir excitement and bring our brand to life across all our social media platforms.
Who You Are:
- Very Detail-Oriented and Organized: You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Precision and thoroughness are part of your DNA. This is the most important job of the role. You will be assisting with the planning and execution of multiple activations/events at once, all with different requirements, marketing collateral, logistical limitations and scopes.
- Work On-Site:Okay with working on-site in Saddle Brook, NJ Monday – Friday when not traveling (open to some flexibility after a 6-month review period based on your commute).
- Love to Travel: Excited to see the country and experience some of the coolest music festivals, sports games and culinary experiences. You are okay with occasionally being away from home for extended periods of time with the team from 1-10 days for events. You will lend a hand during the set-up, entire event and break-down of the event and understand these hours will be longer than 8 hours.
- Agile and Creative: Can think on your feet when something goes wrong and can always find a quick solution to a problem, especially when on-site at an activation setting up.
- FUN!!: Most importantly, you're just a good-hearted fun person who can find the humor in any situation and always does what it takes to get the job done. A team-oriented individual who thrives in lively, dynamic environments and enjoys live music, good food, and hanging with great people.
If you are looking for an opportunity to innovate and grow within a rapidly expanding organization, this is your opportunity.
