Position Summary
We’re seeking a full-time Production Coordinator for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. The Production Coordinator will be experienced in working in women’s apparel, keep up with current trends, following trendsetting labels and brands. The Production Coordinator is also responsible for identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items. They will be working with a fast-growing team and collaborate with our creative team providing hands-on experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Working with the purchasing manager and help run the Purchasing department
- Help oversee the pre-production and post-production processes
- Assist with the management of the quality control assessment
- Work with product development and collaborate with creatives
- Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency
- Communicate daily with overseas offices and vendors to track development and production statuses
- Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities
- Signing and reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts
- Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management
- Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
- Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies
- Conducting ongoing market research to identify beneficial purchase agreements and potential vendors
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in Woman’s Retail/E-Commerce buying/production
- Thorough understanding of fabrics, knowledge of trends and fashion
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to stick to a budget
- Proficient use of Excel and MS Word
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively throughout the organization
- Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management
- Independent, self-motivated, team player
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment with short timelines and changing priorities
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to travel twice a year to New York and Las Vegas
- Sense of urgency, highly detailed, and experience in meeting deadlines
- A positive go-getter and team player, who can work independently with the ability to troubleshoot within a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Pay Range: $20.24 USD - $27.25 USD
