THE POSITION
Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects in live event business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, working 15-20 hours per week.
What This Role Will Do
This role will entail supporting The Director of Culture & Operations by doing daily admin tasks online and a variety of tasks around the office. It will range from updating spreadsheets, to taking inventory and ordering supplies, to helping with monthly birthday gift distribution. It will involve engaging with others more than other internships, because this department focuses on serving the company as a whole. This intern will also have opportunities to be in a support role for events held within the company by The Director of Culture & Operations & the four committees that are essential to C3. These events range from New Hire lunches to Community and Sustainability Events. Some of these events are held within the office and others are outside the office. This role will also aquire new knowledge in production due to this particular Director being the Talent Buyer and Lead over the the kid’s areas at our large festivals.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
To develop an understanding of the entertainment industry’s cultural landscape and apply it effectively in day-to day-office operations. Demonstrate exeptional organizational abilities, a strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and excellent communciation skills. Assist the Director of Culture & Operations in creating a positive work environment, while streamlining administrative processes for maximum efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- This role requires you to be in our Austin, TX office. This is NOT a remote internship opportunity.
- Junior or Senior standing preferred but not required
- Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)
