ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a music enthusiast with a knack for marketing and administration? We’re looking for a creative and organized Coordinator to craft compelling marketing strategies and manage key administrative tasks. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the high-energy world of EDM and understands the intricacies of the pop, hip-hop, and electronic music scenes. You'll be at the forefront of artist promotion, digital marketing, and brand development.
The right candidate understands, respects and loves music, marketing, promotion, as well as the challenges and complexities of the industry and marketplace. You must be able to work in groups, as well as independently, excel under strict deadlines, multi-task, and properly prioritize.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute innovative marketing plans to elevate our roster of artists, driving growth in both creative and business realms.
- Confirm requests are carried out intelligently and effectively with artists, management, tour booking agents, and label teams.
- Discover the artists’ point of view to help find and grow their fan base by leveraging digital marketing channels and tools to build and grow online communities, manage ad campaigns, and enhance brand visibility.
- Generate engaging content including Electronic Press Kits, social media marketing, promotional materials, third party promotions, contests, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Oversee artist social media accounts and create compelling online content to boost fan engagement. Brainstorm and create exciting, cool and new online content (exclusive video content, artist journals, photo galleries, etc.) for artists to drive traffic, followers, and subscribers.
- Work closely with artists, managers, and designers to create eye-catching artwork for singles, Extended Plays (EPs), Long Plays (LPs), and promotional materials. Assist with logo design and branding elements.
- Oversee and/or coordinate publicity efforts, including media training, photo shoots, and video productions. Secure premieres and manage viral marketing strategies.
- Provide focused, hands on, day-to-day attention to artists and managers.
- Set up, attend and contribute to all related company meetings in connection with assigned projects, and provide timely feedback and follow-up.
- Handle international calendar management including promo schedules, travel bookings, visas, accommodations, and itineraries.
- Advance shows and liaise with travel and booking agents to ensure smooth logistics and timely follow-ups.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2-3 years of experience in digital and/or social media marketing.
- Superior organizational and multitasking skills with an ability to prioritize workflow and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- A deep understanding of the pop, hip-hop, and electronic music scene and lifestyle; coupled with innovative marketing ideas and strategies that align with the market.
- Experience working with interactive technologies and communication tools including email, social media platforms, analytic tools, and viral marketing techniques (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud, etc.).
- Basic working knowledge of popular graphic design applications including Photoshop, InDesign, ImageReady and Illustrator.
- Respect and understanding of the creative/artistic process.
PREFERRED
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in the music business, particularly experience managing social media campaigns and working directly with artists.
- Exposure to project management and coordination.
