About the Role:
Fabrication + Warehouse Manager (Associate Director) will play an integral role in supporting the Director of Fabrication with a wide array of custom builds. Additionally, the position with help oversee our warehouse inventory system. As part of the role, said hire will work closely with a variety of vendors, suppliers, and freelancers and will be asked to solve problems daily, while maintaining an ability to quickly shift gears across different clients, hopping in and out of projects at various stages as they move towards execution.
Primary Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
- Fabricate new assets, maintain existing assets, repurpose retired assets, and repair materials/equipment deemed necessary for high level operational output.
- Work with the Director of Fabrication on developing working timelines and defined scopes of work for warehoused projects that need repairs and updates.
- Oversee the management of all warehouse inventory for all client projects, materials, tools, supplies, and rentable assets.
- Maintain oversight of all projects that are warehoused including creating inventory lists and damage reports that are managed, uploaded, and maintained within our warehouse inventory system and on Monday.com.
- Work with the Director of Fabrication on developing working timelines and defined scopes of work for warehoused projects that need repairs and updates.
- Lead the on-site execution of assigned projects including managing the ROS, load in/out, show calling, etc.
- Establish and maintain production schedules, while leading day-to-day communication with project managers, internal team members, vendors, and external clients to ensure that the projects are on time, within budget, and beyond expectations.
- Assist in logistical management of touring assets between freight shipping, storage, and logistics partners.
- Work closely with Technical Director, Director of Operations and Project Managers for all project launches and post event recaps.
- Manage working timelines for clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Develop and drive the experiential project process as a key leader in the department.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workflow and collaboration.
- Identify and communicate project challenges in a timely manner, while also identifying creative solutions for execution efficiencies.
- Understand and thoroughly prepare project SOWs, update project budgets, and manage vendor invoices and payments working closely with the Director of Operations and Finance Department through actualization.
- Oversee the on-site execution of events, including coordination of staff, vendors, and volunteers for assigned projects.
Skills + Qualifications Needed:
- Basic skills in carpentry, electrical systems, fabrication, general construction, mechanical, plumbing, staging, and equipment installation.
- Use of power hand tools including a circular saw, hammer drill, air operated tools, common hand tools, ladders and scaffolding, drill press, table, and band saw, outdoor power equipment, forklift.
- Minimum 3+ years’ of job-related experience.
- Experience in a client-facing and production role within an agency environment.
- Proven track record developing and managing large, complex projects/teams.
- Excellent oral/written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills to effectively
- work with all levels within the organization in addition to clients, partners, and vendors.
- Works well with a hybrid & remote team.
- Software Suite Experience: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.), Canva, Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Illustrator, etc.), Monday.com, and Salesforce.
- Flexibility to travel throughout the year including weekends.
