OVERVIEW:

Location: Nashville, TN OR Toronto, ON

RLive are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Artist Manager to lead the careers of established and developing music artists, particularly in the country music genre. This role demands a strategic, proactive leader with a deep understanding of the global music industry, including touring, release campaigns, and brand partnerships. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in artist management, with a proven track record of success on a global scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Artist Management: Guide the artist’s career development, shaping their public and private personas. Develop and execute global strategies across touring, music releases, and business ventures.
Tour Leadership: Plan and oversee tours, managing logistics, production, and personnel coordination to ensure smooth execution from start to finish.
Release Campaign Leadership: Lead strategic planning for album and single releases, coordinating promotional, media, and record label activities to maximize exposure.
Brand Development & Expansion: Work with sponsorship teams to create strategic partnerships that enhance the artist's global presence.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with internal and external teams, including legal, tour managers, agents, publicists, and business managers, to ensure cohesive execution across all facets of the artist's career.
Financial Stewardship: Manage budgets for tours, promotional campaigns, and other initiatives, ensuring profitability while maximizing creative opportunities.
Industry Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry executives, record labels, publishers, promoters, agents, and sponsors to foster continued growth and exposure for the artist.
Crisis Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for critical situations, effectively managing issues to protect the artist’s reputation and interests.
Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in artist management, with a proven track record of managing artists on a global scale.
Touring Expertise: Significant experience managing tours for mid-level artists, with strengths in logistics, budgeting, and team coordination.
Leadership: Visionary leader capable of driving an artist’s career trajectory and making critical decisions. Strong leadership skills to effectively guide internal support staff and external career stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the country music industry, including international markets, streaming strategies, brand partnerships, and legal aspects of artist management.
Communication Excellence: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle high-level negotiations and represent artists in complex situations.
Crisis Management: Strong problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure, with a focus on quick and effective issue resolution.
Highly Organized: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and ensure flawless execution.
Stakeholder Relations: Established connections with key industry figures, including record labels, media outlets, agencies, and brands.
Strong Network: Extensive network of contacts within the music industry, including record label executives, top-tier promoters, and global media outlets.
Legal Expertise: Proficiency in contract negotiation, licensing, and legal frameworks related to artist management and global touring.
